作品介紹

藝術家與人權主義者多羅羅莎・辛納伽(Dolorosa Sinaga)畢業於雅加達藝術學院與英國倫敦聖馬丁藝術學院。於1980年獲頒福特基金會獎助金,於Mitra Budaya藝廊舉辦雅加達第一場四位印尼女性藝術家的當代雕塑展。於東爪哇惹班重新振興當地第一家青銅鑄造廠,此鑄造廠是由已逝世的Pak Sabar於1979年所創立,而目前位於惹班的貝吉迥村則是因為製作複刻源自於滿者伯夷(Majapahit,13世紀時東爪哇的一個印度教王國)文化的青銅雕像而聞名。辛納伽於1986年於雅加達藝術中心(Taman Ismail Marzuki)所舉辦的雅加達現代雕塑三年展榮獲雅加達藝術評議會最佳作品獎。於1994年因為持續的在藝術雕塑領域有傑出的表現而榮獲女性事務部長所頒發的殊榮。於1990年獲得美國國際開發署(United States Agency for International Development,USAID)提供個人獎助金,前往美國九州進行國際參訪,過程著重於藝術教育領域,並且探訪多位藝術家的工作室,進行對話與創意交流。

參與印尼國家打擊暴力侵害婦女委員會,並安排《給朋友的藝術》(Karya For Friends/ Art For Friends)展覽進行募款活動,所募集的款項用來協助於2003年至2012年在印尼不同區域所推出的支援女性的各種推廣活動。曾替多項人權獎設計獎座,包括葉添興人權獎(獎項於1994年所創辦,採用法律扶助基金會(Legal Aid)創辦者的名字所命名)、人道志工團隊獎,以及由印尼記者聯盟所發起的Suardi Tasrif言論自由獎。

於2016年2月發起紀念國際慰安婦日的《慰安婦紀事》(Chronicle of IANFU)藝術展。於同年八月發起「左轉文化運動」(Turn Left Movement)。有超過二十年擔任電影、設計、建築與視覺藝術領域評審委員的資歷,並且擔任印尼教育文化部創作者、開拓者、創新者文化成就獎項評選會主席。於1965年在荷蘭海牙所舉辦的國際人民法庭擔任指導委員會成員之一,也是威尼斯雙年展印尼參展藝術家與設計家評審委員會主席,目前是2020年雅加達雙年展藝術總監。於1992年至2001年受聘擔任雅加達藝術學院藝術系主任,2008年至2016年擔任教職員會主席。於2012年規劃新課程,將「藝術行動主義」納入美術系課綱。目前仍於雅加達藝術學院美術系任教。在2019年成為英國倫敦漢普斯特德藝術學校榮譽贊助人。目前正積極投入「世界女性藝術領袖會」的成立。

Dolorosa Sinaga, Artist and Human Rights Activist. Graduated from Jakarta Art Institute (IKJ) and St.Martin’s School of Art, London UK. The recipient of an individual grant from Ford Foundation to organize the first Contemporary Sculpture Exhibition of 4 Indonesian Women Sculptors at the Mitra Budaya Gallery in Jakarta 1980. Enacted  revitalization project of the First Bronze Casting Foundry  in Trowulan, East Java, which was founded by the late Pak Sabar 1970. Now the village of Bejijong is famous as a center for bronze replicas of figurines from the Majapahit Kingdom.
Recipient of the Jakarta Arts Council Award for Best Work in the Indonesian Modern Sculpture Triennale at the Jakarta Arts Center Taman Ismail Marzuki 1986. Award recipient from the Minister of Women's Affairs in 1994,  for outstanding commitment and consistency as an artist in the field of sculpture. USAID awarded personal Grant to undertake  International Visitor Program to visit 9 states in America in 1990 to enriching knowledge in art education, and visit artist studios for creative dialogue and ideas. 


Engaging with the National Commission on Violence Against Women to organise a Fundraising project  Art Exhibition  "Karya For Friends/ Art For Friends” to support women's advocacy program activities in several regions in Indonesia 2003 - 2012. Creating design trophies for human rights defenders : The Yap Thiam Hien trophy, taken by the name who founded Legal Aid in 1994. The Team of Volunteers for Humanity trophy, and The Suardi Tasrif trophy initiated by the Journalistic Alliance. Indonesia.


Initiated  Art Exhibition on “Chronicle of IANFU” in February 016 to commemorate International Days of IANFU. The same year initiated in August a cultural movement “Turn Left Movement”.  Appointed as member of Jury in many culture disciplines Films, Design, Architecture,  and Visual Art for more than 20 years. Head of Award Assessment of Cultural Achievement as Creator, Pioneer, and Innovator given by The Ministry of Education and Culture. Appointed member of International Steering Committee at the 1965 International People's Tribunal in the city of The Hague, Netherlands. Head of Jury to assess Indonesian artist Design Artistic to participate in Venice Biennale. Appointed as Artistic Director of Jakarta Biennale 2020. 


Appointed as Dean of Faculty of Fine Arts of Jakarta Art Institute 1992 -2001, Chairperson  of Faculty Senate 2008-2016. Founded a new class on Art Activism in 2012 as part of the curriculum in the Faculty of Fine Art. Still teaching up to now at the Faculty of Fine Art of Jakarta Art Institute. 
Appointed as honorable patron of Hampstead School of Art, London in 2019. Engaging to build a Committee of “World Conference of Woman Art Leaders”.
